As a result of participating in the Every Learner Transform Learning Community of Practice, I’ve been blending my work with what I’ve learned about digital learning and AI which has been a game-changer. In my trades math cohorts this year, I’ve made the links to access the quizzes universal, and students don’t have to create an account to access homework. This has made the course assignments more readily accessible to my students who are traveling between work and daycare pickups. In using AI, generating word problems involving construction applications has been efficient. It’s now easier to tie in different trades into my assignments and be more inclusive of my students’ career paths. The classroom has seen a boost in learning engagement, and students who were nervous about taking math are excited to be in my class!
