Legal Use and Privacy for Every Learner Everywhere Websites and Systems

Every Learner Everywhere is an operational unit of WCET – the WICHE Cooperative for Educational Technologies. WCET is an operational unit of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE). WICHE serves as the legal and fiscal home of Every Learner, WCET and the other operational units of the organization.

The WICHE Legal Policy applies to all Every Learner owned and affiliated web properties, including, but not limited to, the Every Learner Everywhere website, the Transform Learning website, and the Every Learner Course Catalog. WICHE reserves the right to modify the Legal Policy at any time and will indicate any changes and the last updated date. Every Learner will note any changes in how it applies the Legal Policy and the date on this page.

Additional Legal Provisions for Every Learner

The terms below relate to Every Learner’s legal practices that are in addition to those in the WICHE Legal Policy. These additions apply to all Every Learner owned and affiliated web properties.

Every Learner is more restrictive in practice in collecting and storing personal information than the WICHE Legal Policy, such as:

• Cookies or web beacons may be used to track site usage and the success of marketing campaigns. If you do nothing during your visit but browse through the website, we will gather and store only standard Internet log information, such as, but not limited to:
  • the host system,
  • device type and browser,
  • specific pages visited,
  • referring website, link, email, or channel,
  • time and duration of visits to our pages.
• By registering for an Every Learner event, your information may be shared with facilitating organizations. Every Learner subscribes webinar registrants to Every Learner email lists. If you wish to opt-out from either information sharing or email subscription, please contact us.
• Every Learner will not track individually identifiable information for users who only browse through the website. Every Learner will not share, sell, or trade this individual information without your advance permission. Any information that becomes published will be on an aggregated, non-identifying basis.
• Every Learner retains the right to post or remove content from any of its web properties at its discretion.

Every Learner protects the use of its name and logo. Institutions and organizations or those organizations partnering with Every Learner may request use of the logo for web or printed material.
