Improving Critical Courses: Using Digital Learning and Evidence-Based Pedagogy for Student Success

Academic administrators are overseeing and supporting the development of high-quality teaching and learning environments that can seamlessly switch back and forth between in-person and online education. The instructional needs of their students regardless of learning modality (face-to-face, hybrid, and online) must drive continuous improvement strategy. This service includes an online training course and a series of live workshops, developed by provosts and high-level academic affairs administrators, and supports multi-stakeholder communities which will be guided by experts at APLU and its partner organizations. The service engages cohorts of administrators (including faculty) to use collaborative change management practices and processes to inculcate continuous course improvement which will lead to increase in equity and improved student outcomes for Black, Latino, Indigenous, poverty-affected, and first-generation learners.
