Teaching to the Whole Student: A teaching and learning approach that centers the intersecting identities of students

This service will support faculty at historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) through professional learning that focuses on holistically teaching to the intersecting identities of HBCU students.

Learning Objectives

  1. Gain a better understanding intersectionality as it relates to students that hold racialized and minorized identities.
  2. Intentionally implement culturally sustaining teaching and learning practices that affirm students’ intersecting identities.
  3. Enhance teaching and learning practices and curriculum that supports intersecting identities of BILPOC students at HBCU’s
