Courseware Lighthouse Implementation

The Courseware Lighthouse Implementation Program is in-depth, collaborative work with mathematics departments to coordinate and improve multi‑section gateway mathematics courses; integrate AI‑enabled courseware as part of a coherent instructional model; and build sustainable departmental structures for continuous, evidence‑informed improvement.

Supporting a cohort of mathematics departments to optimize and operate one or more gateway mathematics courses using AI‑enabled courseware and faculty supports, the program:

  • Operates at the department and institution level, rather than focusing on individual instructors.
  • Treats faculty as designers and decision‑makers, not end‑users of a pre‑packaged product.
  • Integrates Measurement, Learning, and Evaluation foundationally to enable data and evidence-informed decisions.
  • Uses a common framework but adapts to local context, policy, and student populations.
